Annnnnnd we're off!
The fall semester is kicking off with a running start. Our first meeting last night had an attendance of 14 prospective members, 5 officers and 2 student advisers. We briefly went over our constitution- including adviser and officer responsibilities as well as attendance policies for those who wish to be considered a member- and discussed programming of years past as well as brainstorming for programs to plan this year. Overall we would label the meeting a great success. Thank you to all who attended, we hope to see your eager faces again!
Please keep in mind that anyone who has design ideas for an IUP SOAR homecoming t-shirt can submit their ideas via email or facebook message to any officer- we'd love to have your input! More info on t-shirts will be posted as it becomes available.

- SOAR is IUP's substance-free lifestyle organization. We plan activities and programs for students, host parties, and join campus-wide events.
Our programs and activities are open to all IUP students as an alternative way to have a good time- sober. Although some of our programs aim to educate the public about drug and alcohol abuse, many of our activities are purely "just for the fun of it".
As a substance-free lifestyle organization we do not look to convince people to adopt our values, but rather seek out people who share them. So take a look at what SOAR is up to lately and feel free to join us at our next event- we'd love to see you there! Oh, and did we mention we have an on-campus residence? Currently located on the second floor of the Suites on Maple East, SOAR is an entire community of people who value a substance-free lifestyle.
