Mix-Off 2010

Hi Everyone, Soar competed in the annual IUP mix off on Wednesday.  Mix off is non alcoholic (Mock tail) drink competition where organizations on campus create a drink based around a theme. (This year it was board games) The organizations provide samples of their drinks for others to try and to the judges, who pick two winners at the end of the night. The organizations also collect donations for a charity of their choice.  It was a fun night of music, taste testing and socializing.

Our drink this year was based on the game Apples to Apples. It was called Sultry Sour Apple. It was very tasty. See the picture below, it was complete with a granny smith apple slice and a gummy worm.

We are also happy to announce that we won best presentation. Thanks to all who helped set up, make the drink and clean up!

Also, don’t forget that this weeks meeting (April 7) is cancelled due to take Back the Night. So instead of a meeting we encourage you all to come out to this great event. It starts at 7:30 pm in the courtyard of Maple East / West and Putt and Delany. We hope to see you there! Have a great week!
