Hey there, just wanted to inform everyone about some great opportunities coming up this holiday season to make a significant impact on people near and far:
PROJECT LINUS
Project Linus is a non-profit organization that aims to provide blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of something to call their own- their security blanket. Wallace Hall CAs, RHC and SOAR are teaming up to donate as much as we can to this worthy cause this semester. We are accepting new handmade blankets and afghans, new fleece, and/or your time and commitment to show up for a blanket making day (to be scheduled). Also, to support this charity, you will find Wallace Hall's Penny Wars jars down in the main office. Just add pennies to your floor's jar for positive points, or silver change and dollar bills to other floors' jars for negative points. The jars will be displayed in the office window until November 30th at 11:59pm. In the end the floor with the most points wins a pizza party, but ultimately all of the money goes to this great cause making everyone a winner.
